How to volunteer
KCH based in Nairobi, Kenya runs a successful volunteer programme where volunteers work with the children and projects from anywhere from 3 to 12 months. The programme provides accommodation which is only a 5 minute walk from the home. Volunteers will be assigned a range of duties including:
- Reception work
- Teaching assistant
- Homework club
- Sports
- Nursery duties
- Shopping sprees
- Groundsman duties
- Choir
- Arts and crafts
- Income generation project assignments
The duties of a volunteer will be assigned by the Chief Administrator of Kenya Children’s Home in accordance with the home’s daily schedule and the needs of the children.
