My name is Mary and I need a sponsor
Mary Nyambura aged 9 was born on 20th April 1998. Mary is in class 3 at Jonathan Gloag Academy. She is the 4th born in a family of 6. Her mother abandoned the family when Mary was only 3 years old. The mother’s whereabouts are unknown to date. The father, whose only source of livelihood is ferrying luggage using a hand cart, could not sustain the family’s needs. Mary and her siblings resorted to begging in the streets so as to help their dad get some more income for the family. Eventually, the children became too acquainted with the street life and made the streets their home.
Mary was admitted to KCH in 28th Nov 2006 and is a disciplined and hardworking girl. Her favourite subjects are Arithmetic, Swahili and Geography. She aspires to be a doctor so she can help other needy Kenyan Children. Mary is also very good at athletics, basketball and tennis.
