Welcome to the Kenya Children's Home website
There are currently 10 Kenya Children’s Home projects based in Kenya which are supported by Balcraig Foundation. The main project is Kenya Children’s Home (KCH) which is an orphanage in Nairobi. The home is so successful that it has expanded into developing and managing other community projects in Nairobi and beyond. The KCH projects run by KCH are:
- an orphanage housing 206 children
- one of the most successful primary schools in Nairobi
- an informal school in Kibera, the world’s largest slum area
- a rescue centre for Maasai girls in the Rift Valley
- a number of income generation projects designed to encourage self sustaining communities in Kenya
